Bagalamukhi is revered as Pitambara Maa and stands as the eighth Mahavidya among the ten Mahavidyas. Devotees worship Maa Bagalamukhi to attain control, overcome enemies, induce hypnosis, and achieve subjugation. This worship is regarded as a potent Brahmastra Vidya specifically designed for neutralizing adversaries. Performing the Bagalamukhi puja during the night is considered more efficacious. The puja is conducted on a yellow mat, and the ritual involves the worship of Ganesh Panchang, Navagraha, and Maa Baglamukhi Yantra. Devotees chant a 36-letter mantra while offering a turmeric garland. The number of repetitions can vary, with options like 11 thousand, 21 thousand, or 51 thousand chants. For specific and intense wishes, practitioners may undertake 1 lakh 36 thousand repetitions. Following the chanting, various materials such as yellow mustard seeds, turmeric lumps, semar flowers, guggul, and honey are used to conduct havans that fulfill different types of desires. It is imperative to maintain complete celibacy during the entire duration of the puja for its optimal efficacy.
